Step 1 Warm up and presentation
1.Play a guessing game.（课件出示图片）

2. （课件出示）You can see a kite,a bag and some pictures.

Module5Unit1It’s big and light.教学设计教学背景分析五年级学生已学了近三年的英语，故有一定的基础，能够掌握一些简单的形容词，例如big small fat thin short tall long等。
但是五年级的孩子已经不像三、四年级学生对英语充满好奇，甚至产生了厌学的情绪，为此，我采用了在任务型教学过程中渗入奖励积分卡的评价方法，让学生动起来、让课堂活起来，让学生轻松学英语。
教学内容分析本节课是外研版三起第六册Module5Unit1It’s big and light.教学内容所涉及的语言功能是用英语（形容词）描述事物的性质、特征。
本节课是本模块的第一课时。
通过本课的学习,学生不仅巩固了曾学过的相关形容词而且应能够用英语描述事物的特征、比较事物，以及为学习Unit2和今后的进一步学习打下良好的语言基础。

《It’s big and light.》教案一、教材分析：本课的内容是《新标准英语》第六册第五模块第一单元。
本单元主要学习描述事物的特征.本课在真实的语境中让学生学会描述物体的特征，内容从生活实际出发,贴近生活,学生容易掌握。
二、学生分析：对于五年级学生来说，形容词并不陌生，在本节课，引导学生能用更多的形容词对物品进行较为全面、准确的描述；以及能就事物的鲜明特征，恰当使用形容词进行描述。

但是由于我们农村乡镇孩子们缺乏英语学习的环境以及运用英语的语言环境，孩子们在课堂上容易出现“如听天书”的感觉，丧失了学习的主动性。
同时，由于这一阶段的孩子的心理特点，他们喜欢在玩中学习，喜欢进行活动、游戏。
因此，在课堂中要特别为其设置有趣的游戏，活动，调动每一个孩子学习的兴趣，为其创设容易的目标，帮助孩子们建立成就感。
设计理念及依据本堂课的设计，以儿童心理学、儿童教育学、小学英语教学法作为理论依据，以小学英语课程标准作为指导，以充分调动学生的积极性和主动性作为前提,努力创设语境，让学生在一定的语境中学习语言。
利用各种方式，充分调动学生的一切感官：从视觉、听觉、触觉上，让学生边看、边听、边说、边读、边写、边表演。

外研版五年级下册Module5 Unit1 It’s big and light.教学设计一、整体设计思路、指导依据说明1.本节课是与学生生活联系较密的一课，依据《课程标准》和针对小学生的年龄特征和教学内容，在任务型教学过程中我渗入TPR，让学生动起来、让课堂活起来。
使英语学习显得不那么枯燥，让学生轻松学英语。
2.在语篇教学时，我采用“先整体，后局部，再整体”的教学方法，即强调语篇的整体性教学，同时又恰到好处地处理了依附于语篇存在的生词和句型，使得语篇教学在新语言点的支撑下焕发勃勃生机。
3.在最后创设“Choose a bag for teacher”情境教学中，使学生身临其境，从而达到学以致用的目的。
使学生在轻松、愉快的环境中积极地学习，积极地交流，极大地激发了学生的学习兴趣，从而为学生进一步学习英语奠定了良好的基础。
